This week is National Influenza Vaccination Week. The Chicago Department of Public Health will provide free H1N1 flu shots this Saturday, January 16th, 9 am to 2 pm at the 49th Ward Service Office, 7356 N. Greenview (at Jarvis).

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the flu season is far from over. Flu season typically lasts until May, and it's possible that there will be additional waves of flu illness. All individuals, ages six months and up, are eligible to receive the vaccine.
