Sheridan Road resurfacing starts

Work has started on a complete resurfacing of Sheridan Road from the Evanston border south to Devon. The project will include repairs to curbs and gutters and sewer and water mains where needed. Funding is primarily from the federal stimulus plan.

Construction is to be finished in November. During construction, Sheridan Road will be reduced to one lane in either direction, except at morning rush hour, when two southbound lanes will be open, and the evening rush hour, when two northbound lanes will be open. You might want to use Clark or Ridge as an alternate route during construction.
