put your money where your mouth is

In case you're not already aware of it, Illinois recently passed a law that allows people to vote early without having to vote absentee. You can read about it here.

Click here for early voting locations.

To find out State and Federal candidates for office based on your address, click here. NOTE that this brings up a sample ballot with clickable links on each candidate so you can find out more about them.

You'll have to search the city's election website for details on city/local candidates based on your address.

If you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the election results. Get out there and vote!!!

rainy

All this rain is getting me down. Wanted to find something positive in it (aside from the benefit to trees and plants), so I thought I'd try for a cool picture.

changes

Giselle has decided she's a lap cat. Amazing!

separated at birth?

Scan down to 10/1 entry. You be the judge.

spooky

Wouldn't this be a spooky thing for Halloween? Picture one of those inflatable, lighted figures that sit on people's front lawns at Halloween. This one is Mark Foley, hunched over a computer keyboard, IM window open.

Fast forward to Thanksgiving. The figure is a pilgrim holding a turkey on the chopping block, axe raised. The turkey has Mark Foley's face. Wouldn't that be poetic justice? Gobble, gobble.....
